The kingdom of Neleuwan is a land of magic and prophecy. It is home to squires Higant and Marcus, brothers not by blood but by bond, and two of the legendary Prophet Vandrune’s latest students.
The young King Frederick, wise beyond his years, receives a prophecy from an enigmatic mage … and soon after, a member of his court is found dead, slain by a mysterious blade.
Thrust into the middle of a centuries-old plot, the squires are torn from their home, forced to walk separate paths. They discover the return of an ancient power that threatens not only the land itself, but the very fabric of time.
Together, the boys could be the keys to its salvation … or its destruction.
